Continue to give used clothing brand-new life.

It is not just recycling.

Mixture of materials and textures. Unusual combination.
schmidttakahashi from Berlin does not only recycle used items but instead give brand-new life by enhancing the most interesting details.

schmidttakahashi sets up custom made containers to collect used clothes. Each contributor can track the items they donate with the personal ID.

An enormous amount of collected used clothing. Firstly they are thoroughly washed and ironed.
After this, information on each item including the former owner (anonymously), colour, material and photo are saved onto RFID transponder. By scanning with RFID reader, schmidttakahashi can easily access to each item's information from their enormous archive.

There are very few designs determined from the beginning or created from sketches.
Instead, schmidttakahashi receives inspiration from collected used items.

Each piece created from used clothing are one-of-a-kind, "Unikat". Based on this design, schmidttakahashi creates "Duplikat" incorporating sustainable materials including organic cotton, recycled cotton, organic linen, and organic wool.
