In 2012, Base Range was born to create a line of sustainable under and easy wear.

BASE Range... Basic Aesthetic for Sustainable Easywear
Natural fibres such as organic cotton, recycled cotton or wool, natural silk or linen and bamboo are used at the heart of Base Range’s fabrics.
In selecting the fabrics, Base Range places great importance on the production processes to see to what extent each process impacts on the environment, for example the amount of water used in production and most importantly the chemicals used.
Base Range only uses Öko-tex or GOTS certified dyes. It consume a lot less water in the dying process and does not utilise any heavy metal dyes or toxic elements that are still used by many garment producers outside of Europe.
Of course, raw or ecru items are not dyed or chemically bleached.
Base Range works exclusively with small family based factories and builds a close and trustful relationship with our producers that last.
Underwear t-shirts, sweats and leather garments are produced in small towns around Porto in Portugal. This area is near Toulouse, where the company's head office is based. This enables them to make regular visits and reduce the time, cost and carbon foot print of transporting the garments.
Woven garments made from only natural fabrics such as silk, linen and wool are all produced in a small town called Odemis near Izmir, Turkey.
