SA8000は、エシカル（倫理的）な労働環境や工場労働者の人権を守るために定められた国際規格。世界人権宣言（The Universal Declaration of Human Rights）、児童の権利に関する条約（The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child）、また国際労働機関（ILO）の各種条約に基づいている。
